About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the agricultural and food production sector, is seeking a meticulous Maintenance & Project Planner to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of high-capacity production facilities through expert scheduling and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize machinery longevity.
  • Lead and coordinate technical projects, from initial scoping and resource allocation to final implementation and commissioning.
  • Manage internal technical teams and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track equipment performance, analyze failure trends, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities and projects strictly adhere to health, safety, and biosecurity protocols essential to the poultry sector.

Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience within a poultry production or processing environment is essential.
  • Technical Background: A relevant trade qualification or degree in Engineering/Maintenance Management.
  • Planning Expertise: Strong proficiency in maintenance planning software and project management methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings, manage complex budgets, and perform root-cause analysis.
