About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Fire Engineer to support our team in designing and implementing fire safety and compliance systems for building projects in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire engineering and excellent technical communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with design of fire safety and compliance systems for building projects
- Contribute to SANS deemed-to-satisfy and rational fire designs
- Participate in project coordination and technical documentation
- Attend client and site meetings to gain exposure to real-world project delivery
- Assist with tender documentation and project administration
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in fire engineering within the building services environment
- Exposure to SANS fire compliance and fire safety design
- Experience with sprinkler systems, smoke control, and firefighting equipment
- Strong report writing and technical communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
Qualifications
BEng / BTech Mechanical Engineering
