KWV a renowned South African brand and industry leader in the production of world-class wines, and other spirits a vacancy for a Team Leader Sales – On Trade , based in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Reporting to: Head o f On Trade Department: SA Sales Division: Commercial Purpose: Overseeing daily operations in the sales department for the region. Manage and coordinate a group of KWV Business Development Representatives by providing leadership, direction and guidance. This also includes hiring and training of sales staff, relaying information from senior management to sales teams about sales targets in order to ensure the following: Volume & Value growth Maximizing Profitability Brand awareness Operational efficiency Delivering Brilliant Execution Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 and relevant tertiary qualification in either Sales, Business Management or Marketing 5 Years relevant experience in sales or customer marketing within a FMCG environment 5 Years’ experience in the liquor Industry, specifically in the On-Trade will be advantageous. Excellent negotiating, analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizing and communication skills. Strong commercial and financial acumen Frequent business travel and possible sleep over within the area. IT literacy Valid driver’s license and own vehicle and willing to travel within the region. Skills Required: Verbal and written communication skills in English Leadership as well as inter-personal skills Customer service orientation Results driven The ability to set the business direction for the region and inspire and lead the team to achieve the objectives Ability to coach, mentor and guide sales staff People management skills Ability to work under pressure and achieve results within set deadlines. Job Summary: Planning of monthly sales targets as per budget, broken down by area, Business Development Representative , trade channel and customer Manage and build relationships with 3 rd party merchandising business partners Forecast depot stock requirements weekly Trade visits and completion of Accompaniment reports Coaching of sales staff Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns Planning and directing the hiring and training of new appointments within the team Preparing sales budgets , projections and approving expenditures Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients Defining and executing territory sales plans Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from underrepresented groups aligned with our Employment Equity Plan.
