- Matric.
- Possession of a Fleet and Logistics Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated proven track record in sales, specifically within a service environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fleet management and a general understanding of business processes within a corporate environment.
- Experienced in lead generation, including identifying new leads and consistently engaging in cold calling.
- Skilled in researching new leads and aligning them to the target market.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Data Integrity:
- Ensure that all sales activities are concluded within the stipulated SLAs of the Company, maintaining the quality and accuracy of data captured in the respective Company systems.
- Operational Activities:
- Initiate and carry out relevant sales activities to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct cold calling.
- Visit dealers and suppliers.
- Engage on social media platforms.
- Execute campaigns, including mailshots.
- Research potential target markets and customers.
- Attend business-approved functions with suppliers and customers to expand the Company brand in the market.
- Functional Activities:
- Introduce customers that align with the Company’s business strategy and obtain relevant financial information from prospective customers where possible.
- Create professional sales proposals that illustrate the required solution for the customer, including written proposals, pricing submissions, and presentations, all within the confines of the Company brand.
- Ensure compliance, quality, accuracy, brand alignment, deadline management, follow-ups, and management of all stakeholders that contribute to the success of the Business Development team and the Company.
- Promote and uphold the Company brand, culture, and values in all activities.
- Activity Targets:
- Conduct eight first appointments per month.
- Complete ten follow-up appointments or presentations/pitches of proposals per month.
- Hold one closing appointment per month.
- Conduct dealer visits with the Company-approved dealers.
- Invite the line manager and other internal stakeholders to appointments.
- Target Market:
- Engage with blue-chip companies operating large fleets.
- Work with large corporations that currently own their fleet.
- Target small and medium-sized companies.
- Target privately owned companies, excluding CCs.
- Restricted Sales Activities:
- Sales activities for businesses in funeral parlours, security and response, construction, and mining sectors, specifically where specialised vehicles are required, will only commence after Director approval.
- Sales Process:
- APP 1 – Conduct fleet analysis, share the Company’s Unique Selling Proposition, and request basic financial information from prospective customers.
- APP 2 – Negotiate services, create and provide accurate proposals and presentations, initiate credit processes, discuss and negotiate contracts, and include management in key presentations.
- Closing Meeting – Finalise agreements with acceptance and signature, upload into Quest, and submit the signed execution version to the customer.
