About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our Freight company, playing a crucial part in the pricing and profitability of our services. As an Estimator, you will work closely with various teams to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data, such as shipment types, distances, and delivery timelines, to create accurate estimates for freight transportation services
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to understand project requirements and develop cost estimates
- Monitor industry trends, market rates, and competitor pricing to ensure competitive pricing strategies
- Prepare and present estimates to potential clients, negotiating pricing when necessary
- Track and report on estimation accuracy, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure estimates are clearly understood and executed accurately
