Job Description

Key Responsibilities

– Manage the development and design of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and engineering standards
– Review and authorise technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
– Oversee system testing, inspection processes, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
– Lead and coordinate multiple engineering projects, including resource planning, scheduling, and budget oversight
– Supervise installation and commissioning activities and ensure clear documentation of all work performed
– Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to improve system reliability
– Provide expert support on faultfinding, troubleshooting, and rootcause investigations
– Ensure all E&I activities align with ISO9001:2015 and internal safety procedures
– Drive improvements across processes, systems, and technologies, incorporating industry advancements and automation tools
– Engage and collaborate with clients, project teams, and contractors to ensure technical requirements are met
– Lead, develop, and support engineers, electricians, and instrumentation technicians
– Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation
– Contribute to departmental planning, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives related to project and business goals

Minimum Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ECSA registration preferred; Master’s an advantage)
– At least 10 years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position
– Strong technical background in electrical design, industrial instrumentation, and control systems
– Proven experience working with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and automation technologies
– Excellent understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards
– Skilled in CAD design, technical documentation, and engineering drawing management
– Ability to manage engineering teams and coordinate complex technical projects
– Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
