Job Description

Job Responsibilities · Engineering standards are documented, controlled and used in such a way that activities are executed professionally. · Administrative systems are set up, maintained and improved for the relevant production divisions tooling · Quality and safety standards are adhered to and integrated into design. · Procedures, design specifications and ISO standards are adhered to · Consult with colleagues/customers to improve tooling components and systems to achieve production capabilities. · Customer representatives are conferred with to review tool designs and answer questions pertaining to Tooling · Optimise processes for group work to reduce manufacturing costs. · Report to customers on problems identified · New tools is released from Tool shop before manufacturing continues. · Involved in release of first product design in conjunction with QC as required. · Tooling for all products is managed and monitored. · Tooling for all products is expedited and feedback provided as required · Asset register is developed and maintained on all tooling. · Tooling is inspected and proactively maintained. · Designs are modified and revised to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. · Liaison between drawing office and tooling manufacturer on product improvement. · All deadlines are met Health & Safety · Continuously adhere to and engage in safe working practices and best practices. · Adhere to the company safety policy. · Ensure all mechanical installations comply with the requirements of the OHS ACT. · Ensure housekeeping is maintained at a high level. The job is completed when housekeeping is done. · Grade 12 (Maths and Science). · N4 Draughting Diploma or similar · Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) applications is essential. · At least 5 years relevant experience · Willing to work in a factory environment.
