About the Role
Gijima is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer Intern to join our team in George. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT field service engineering and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve logged incidents for end users
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Display a positive attitude when interacting with customers and colleagues
- Ensure incident resolution is completed within Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Follow compliance rules and procedures
- Input quality data into the IT incident management system
- Identify potential risks and implement preventative maintenance measures
- Deploy, monitor, repair, support, and manage desktops and Windows operating systems
- Set up peripherals, test network connections, and install software
Requirements
- Completed 3-year tertiary qualification in IT (e.g. Diploma in IT; Support Services, Computer Systems, BSc. in IT)
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Access, email, and internet
- Computer literate
- No criminal record
