About the Role
Our client, a well-established specialist in automated poultry equipment and replacement parts, is seeking an experienced Storeman to manage their warehouse and storage facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of inventory, including receiving, storing, and dispatching specialized equipment parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of inventory, from receiving and inspection to final dispatch.
- Update and maintain accurate records using the Omni inventory management system.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
- Identify and report on inventory levels, potential shortages, or slow-moving stock.
- Organize and optimize storage space for various poultry equipment components and replacement parts.
- Ensure the warehouse facility remains clean, safe, and organized in line with industry standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely dispatch of goods to clients.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Storeman or in a similar warehouse management role. Hands-on experience with the Omni inventory/accounting system is highly advantageous. Solid understanding of inventory control processes (receiving, bin locations, and dispatch). Strong computer literacy and numerical skills. Experience in an engineering or technical parts environment is a plus.
