- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Diploma or short course in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred)
- Short Course in Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent
- Short Course in Transportation and Logistics
- BRC/HACCP awareness
- PPECB inspection and sampling procedure training
- Health & Safety, First Aid awareness
- Management/Mentoring and Team Leader Training for Supervisors
- Internal audit and corrective action processes
- Packhouse experience will be an advantage.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Knowledge of outbound logistics and packhouse operations
- Cold-chain and stock rotation (FIFO) understanding
- Understanding of regulatory compliance: PPECB, BRC/HACCP, transport, and labor law
- Equipment operation awareness: forklift, reach truck, and man hand handling.
- Administrative skills: reporting, deviation tracking, record keeping.
- Organization, planning, and time management
- Ability to supervise and guide operational staff.
- Effective communication with management, peers, and operators
- Staff development, coaching, and motivation
- Decision-making under pressure and adaptability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Conflict resolution and coaching

- Familiarity with Packsys, transport and warehouse management systems
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS
- Prevent operational downtime caused by departmental errors, PPECB delays and productivity, ensuring timely support for inspections, market changes, and production adjustments.
- Maintain low absenteeism rates through proactive planning and employee attendance monitoring to minimize operational disruption.
- To prevent truck overloads by applying correct loading patterns, weight distribution, and compliance with legal load limits.
- Efficiency of loading/dispatch to maintain acceptable truck turnaround below 4hours.
- Maintain strict communication with PPECB to ensure all EU line inspections are completed; no pallet pass the catwalk without inspection and the PPECB stamp.
- Results: Health & Safety and Internal Outbound Audits, maintaining operational integrity.
- Oversee the movement of stock across the floor, PPECB inspection area, and staging areas.
- Ensure quality control through accurate load outs to reduce export claims, inland rejections, and overseas quality claim value.
- Ensure correct loading patterns are consistently applied, with loads evenly distributed and verified against weight limits and dispatch documentation before trucks depart.
- Ensure pallet ages remain within protocol limits and issue daily stock deviations and risk alerts to operations.
- Conduct training and development on Outbound, procedures.
- Ensure training completion and compliance with operational standards.
- Ensure high employee retention through mentorship, coaching, and fair performance management processes.
- Reduce number of incidents/accidents among Outbound staff, monitoring morale, and team stability.
- Ensure ethical and transparent data use across all documentation processes, exports, and system integration.
- Resolve operational issues and maintain operational standards.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with, transporters, PPECB and Internal teams.
