About the Role
The Electrical Enclosure Estimator will be responsible for designing electrical layouts, pricing equipment, and providing technical support to customers in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in electrical estimating or enclosure design and strong knowledge of MCC panels and low voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design layouts and price electrical boards and equipment based on SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bills of Quantities)
- Prepare and issue quotations for low voltage systems and MCC panels
- Assist and engage with walk-in customers regarding technical and pricing queries
- Read and interpret tender specifications and guidelines
- Draw sketches of General Arrangement drawings
- Design electrical board sizes to determine metalwork costing
- Design equipment layouts to determine copper work, wiring, and equipment costs
- Liaise with customers regarding technical clarifications and verifications
- Revise quotations based on updated customer requirements
- Communicate with suppliers regarding specialised equipment requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience in electrical estimating or enclosure design
- Strong knowledge and experience working with MCC (Motor Control Center) panels
- Understanding of MCC panels used to control, monitor, and protect multiple electric motors from a centralized location
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems and electrical boards
- Ability to read and interpret SLDs, BOQs, and tender documents
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
