About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Demi Chef to join our high-volume kitchen team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation and cooking, supporting senior chefs, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to fine-dining standards.
- Support the Chef de Partie and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure all ingredients are prepped, portioned, and stored correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
- Follow recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and basic ordering processes.
- Monitor food quality and report any issues to senior chefs.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist during service to ensure timely and efficient dish execution.
