About the Role

The Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company, providing strategic insights to management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant or someone with up to 4 years of post-qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Analyse key performance indicators, including Net Fee Income (NFI) and operating margins, to support business decision-making.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, monitor variances, and provide actionable commentary to department heads.
  • Ensure full compliance with SARS regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Tax filings.
  • Manage all audit requirements and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
  • Strengthen and maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk and ensure data integrity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support on ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

  • CA(SA) designation is essential.
  • 0–4 years of post-qualification experience (articles included).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (modeling and data manipulation).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant tax legislation.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar) is highly preferred.
