Must have IT Legal background – Intermediate Contracts & Tenders Manager Permanent position | To work Hybrid or remotely | Johannesburg Or Cape Town based Driver’s License and own Transport Must have a Matric Certificate Must have a Legal Degree Or Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management Must have worked in the IT Industry and must have Legal background Intermediate working experience/exposure in Contracts and Tenders Management (will also be trained by our client) Experience or exposure in Contracts Management Tenders/ Bids in the IT Software Industry Experience or exposure gained in drafting bids, negotiating pricing, executing legally binding agreements, and ensuring suppliers deliver services on time and within budget, while rigorously minimizing business and legal risks. Experience as a Bid Manager/ Engineer OR IT Service Management OR Project Management Or in the IT Software Industry would be advantageous Experience in Commercial Law/Contract Administration. Understanding of various software licensing models (SaaS, PaaS, On-premise) and associated EULAs. Strong financial literacy with the ability to interpret P&L impacts within contract terms. Proven ability to manage multiple high-pressure deadlines simultaneously, particularly during peak tender seasons. Advanced negotiation skills with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and closing complex commercial deals. Familiarity with CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) software and advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite. Experience of putting Tender Documents / Requests for Proposals together – advantageous. Experience in a company that provides Software Solutions to customers – advantageous. Experience in Risk Mitigation, Negotiation, and CLM Software A Contracts and Tenders Manager in the IT Software sector bridges sales, legal, and procurement. They require a blend of commercial, legal, and technical expertise to handle software licensing and manage complex vendor bids Responsibilities you would perform and grow in include: Manage the full contract lifecycle, from initiation to termination/renewal, for all commercial contracts. Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise contracts, ensuring legal and organizational compliance. Identify and mitigate contractual risks across all agreements. Maintain a centralised, accurate repository of contracts, with a specific focus on IT-related agreements. Lead the end-to-end process for preparing and submitting high-quality tender documents and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Technical, Finance) for comprehensive input and timely tender submissions. Establish and track KPIs and SLAs to ensure both vendor and organizational compliance with contractual obligations. Partner with Finance to analyse commercial viability, focusing on margin protection and cost-avoidance strategies. Act as the primary contact for contract disputes and performance issues, facilitating resolutions to protect the company. Stay updated on IT-specific regulations (e.g., GDPR, POPIA) and conduct ‘post-mortem’ reviews on lost tenders to refine processes and content. Monthly Salary: R 60 000 – R 90 000 maximum CTC per Month (the Salary is dependent on years of relevant working experience gained regarding this Vacancy only as well as Qualifications and current Salary earned) discretionary Annual Performance Bonus Please Note: A Pension Fund of between 4% – 11% of your Monthly Salary will be deducted from your Monthly Salary, which is mandatory for all employees, the full amount would be also deducted from your Monthly Salary – this is not negotiable. NB: (the Company does not contribute to the Pension Fund at all)
