Position: Junior Admitted Attorney & Conveyancer Department: Conveyancing and Property Law Reports To: Director / Senior Conveyancer Location: Edenvale / Bedfordview Our client, a boutique law firm located in the Edenvale / Bedfordview area, is looking for a Junior Admitted Attorney & Conveyancer to join their Conveyancing and Property Law department. About Them They are an established firm of attorneys, conveyancers, and notaries based in Dunvegan, Edenvale. The firm handles specialised property matters, including residential and commercial transfers, with active lodgement privileges in both the Johannesburg and Pretoria Deeds Offices. They are dedicated to delivering professional legal solutions while maintaining exceptional regulatory compliance and strong industry relationships. About the Role As a Junior Admitted Attorney & Conveyancer, you will report directly to the Director / Senior Conveyancer. You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal and conveyancing services relating to property transfers, sectional title matters, and related real estate transactions. This role offers excellent exposure to managing matters from inception to registration, navigating Deeds Office procedures, and interfacing directly with key financial and property stakeholders. Minimum Requirements Qualifications LLB Degree Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa Admitted Conveyancer Experience 12 years post-admission experience in conveyancing. Experience in: Property transfers; Sectional title transfers; Deeds Office procedures Exposure to conveyancing software systems. Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of conveyancing platforms such as Lexis Convey, Windeed, Strong legal drafting and document review skills. Sound understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures. Competencies Excellent attention to detail. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Professional communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and analytical ability. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Client-focused approach. KPIs Transfer and Registration turnaround times. Accuracy of conveyancing documentation. Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Client satisfaction levels. Achievement of departmental targets. Effective management of conveyancing matters from inception to registration. Reduction of registration delays and rejected lodgements. Key Responsibilities Manage residential and commercial property transfers from initial instruction through to successful registration Attend to bond registrations, bond cancellations, and the drafting/review of all conveyancing documentation Open and manage conveyancing files, sectional title registers, and project deadlines Prepare, review, and lodge documents at the Deeds Office, while ensuring absolute compliance with the Deeds Registries Act and related legislation Calculate and reconcile conveyancing finances and transaction accounts Consult with clients, attend to the signing of transfer/bond documents, and maintain strong client relationships Liaise professionally with banks, estate agents, municipalities, SARS, and managing agents Draft related legal correspondence, agreements, and property-related advices Remuneration Market-related salary commensurate with qualifications and experience Performance incentives may apply If you do not hear from us within 2 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
