Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the processing of supplier invoices and customer billings. Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for and correctly allocated. Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including following up on outstanding collections. Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensure all financial documentation complies with South African regulatory standards. Assist in preparing the books up to the trial balance stage for month-end and year-end reporting. Verify and process staff expense claims and maintain a clear audit trail for company spending. Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system for all financial records and support the broader finance team during audits. Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by performing routine journals and adjustments. Requirements: Hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or similar financial role. Possess formal bookkeeping or accounting qualifications. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing. Have your own reliable transport for commuting to the Johannesburg office. Show proficiency in managing accounts up to the trial balance stage.
