Marketing Assistant (Qualified Debt Counsellor) Job Description Overview
We are seeking a motivated Marketing Assistant who is also a Qualified Debt Counsellor to support our financial services and debt-relief business. This hybrid role combines marketing coordination with professional debt counselling expertise, ensuring our brand reaches the right customers while maintaining compliance with NCR regulations.
Key Responsibilities Marketing & Lead Generation

Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.

Manage social media pages, content calendars, and customer engagement.

Develop marketing materials, brochures, email newsletters, and promotions.

Coordinate community outreach, roadshows, and brand awareness events.

Assist with market research, competitor analysis, and reporting.

Help optimize lead-generation funnels and follow up on warm leads.
Debt Counselling Duties

Conduct initial affordability assessments and financial evaluations.

Provide clients with professional advice on debt counselling processes.

Prepare and submit debt review applications in accordance with NCR guidelines.

Communicate with credit providers, attorneys, and payment distribution agencies.

Follow up on client documentation, proposals, and negotiations.

Ensure compliance with all debt counselling regulations and ethical standards.
Client Relationship Management

Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and supportive manner.

Maintain client records and assist with administrative tasks.

Educate clients about financial literacy, budgeting, and long-term money management.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Registered and qualified Debt Counsellor with the NCR (valid DC number required).

Certificate in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (advantageous).

Strong understanding of debt counselling laws and procedures.

Experience in customer service, telesales, or marketing roles.

Proficiency in MS Office and basic digital marketing tools.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
