About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for designing and developing industrial watertube boilers and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities

Perform thermal, pressure part, and detailed mechanical design of industrial watertube boilers and associated systems
Specify bought-out equipment and ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards
Approve drawings and provide technical accountability for design office outputs
Support project execution from tendering and quotations through to commissioning and after-sales services
Manage multiple major projects simultaneously while maintaining technical quality and schedule adherence

Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience within an industrial or heavy engineering environment
Knowledge of national and international engineering standards and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Ansys Fluent
Strong communication skills and ability to interact confidently with clients and stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering / BSc Mechanical Engineering Degree
