About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our design team, you will have the opportunity to develop new products and refine existing designs using advanced engineering principles and design tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new products and refine existing designs using advanced engineering principles and design tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Lead design projects from concept to completion

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and time management abilities
  • Leadership and negotiation skills (advantageous)

Qualifications

  • BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Candidate Engineer with the ECSA
