About the Role

Lead and oversee operations across our national franchise and depot network in Johannesburg, driving performance improvement and business growth. As National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies that support our company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee operations across our national franchise and depot network
  • Drive linehaul, distribution, collection, and delivery performance across South Africa
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  • Partner with franchisees and operational teams to implement best practices and optimise performance
  • Monitor and improve key service metrics, ensuring industry-leading customer experiences
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and operational innovation projects
  • Manage major service escalations and drive effective solutions
  • Collaborate with Sales, IT, Finance, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership to achieve company objectives
  • Ensure compliance with operational, labour, health & safety, and transport regulations

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience within courier, freight, transport, or logistics operations
  • Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and multiple sites
  • Strong understanding of linehaul, distribution, fleet operations, and courier networks
  • Experience analysing operational performance and implementing improvement strategies
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost-control experience
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
