About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a seasoned Treasury Risk Manager to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our treasury and financial risk management team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of projects from initiation to completion, advising on liquidity risk management, cash flow forecasting, and funding strategies, and providing insights on hedging strategies and interest rate risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of treasury and financial risk management projects from initiation to completion.
- Design and review treasury frameworks, policies, and governance structures.
- Advise on liquidity risk management, cash flow forecasting, and funding strategies.
- Support clients with asset and liability management (ALM) and balance sheet optimisation.
- Provide insights on hedging strategies and interest rate risk management.
- Interpret and advise on regulatory frameworks affecting financial institutions.
- Gather and document client requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
- Drive business development initiatives, including proposal development and market engagement.
- Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to team growth and capability building.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum B.Com Honours in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (CA(SA), CFA, or equivalent) highly advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in treasury, financial risk, or consulting environments.
- Strong understanding of treasury operations, controls, and processes.
- Knowledge of financial services sectors (banking, insurance, asset management).
- Solid understanding of:
- Liquidity risk and cash management
- Asset & liability management (ALM)
- Funds transfer pricing (FTP)
- Capital and financial performance management
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Banks Act, FICA, Financial Markets Act).
