About the Role
We are seeking a Pricing Analyst/Data Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our pricing and data analysis function, you will be responsible for providing critical insights to inform business decisions across various stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect price books from all suppliers within the same country, ensuring quarterly benchmarking and reporting of price books.
- Track the percentage of pricing recommendations that are consistent with market trends and competitor pricing.
- Evaluate pricing received for business-as-usual (BAU) requests and orders placed, comparing them with the received price books.
- Deliver pricing recommendations and insights to senior management, accompanied by clear explanations and supporting data.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of pricing reports and comparisons.
Requirements
- Strong data gathering and preparation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, LOOKUP, etc.) and other data analysis tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Matric Certificate is the minimum qualification required for this role. A degree or higher would be preferable.
