About the Role

Network Finance, a dynamic and fast-growing organisation within an operationally driven industry, is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to take full ownership of the HR function across a group of companies. This senior, standalone role requires partnering closely with executive leadership to build a strong, people-centric culture, enhance communication, and ensure a high-performing, compliant HR environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from role scoping to offer stage
  • Develop engaging job adverts and manage candidate pipelines
  • Lead interviews and coordinate selection processes
  • Design and implement effective onboarding programmes
  • Performance Management & Development:
  • Implement structured performance management frameworks
  • Facilitate performance reviews and ongoing feedback processes
  • Identify training needs and drive development initiatives
  • Oversee WSP and ATR submissions to the relevant SETAs
  • Support succession planning and career development
  • Employee Relations:
  • Act as the primary contact for all employee relations matters
  • Manage disciplinary processes and ensure legal compliance
  • Handle grievances and conflict resolution professionally and fairly
  • Maintain accurate and compliant ER documentation
  • Payroll Management:
  • Oversee and process monthly payroll
  • Ensure the accuracy of employee data, including changes and deductions
  • Liaise with finance and ensure statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, and SDL)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information
  • HR Compliance & Culture:
  • Develop and maintain HR policies aligned with South African legislation
  • Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA and related frameworks
  • Drive Employment Equity and B-BBEE initiatives
  • Act as a culture champion, improving engagement and communication
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • HR Administration & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files
  • Produce HR reports and dashboards for leadership
  • Manage leave, contracts, and exit processes
  • Analyse turnover trends and provide insights

Job Experience and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field
  • Honours Degree (advantageous)
  • Additional certifications in Labour Law, Payroll, or B-BBEE (beneficial)
  • Minimum 10 years’ HR experience in a corporate environment
  • Proven experience managing a standalone HR function
  • Strong payroll experience (VIP/Sage advantageous)
  • Experience with SETA submissions (WSP/ATR)
  • Solid knowledge of South African labour legislation
  • Experience in a fast-paced, operational environment is advantageous
