About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Public Sector Sales Executive to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of ICT and enterprise sales experience within government environments, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a public sector sales strategy per allocated account aligned to organisation’s growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key government stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage public sector opportunities, including RFIs, RFPs, and tenders.
  • Lead end-to-end bid management with cross-functional teams.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue and margin targets.
  • Provide accurate pipeline and forecasting reports.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement and governance requirements.

Requirements

  • 8 years’ experience in enterprise or public sector sales, preferably ICT services.
  • Seasoned in selling across the IT spectrum including digital transformation solutions, managed services, networking solutions, data and analytics, cloud solutions and cybersecurity.
  • Management of Client contracts, renewals, and negotiations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex, multi-disciplinary tenders and bids.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across executive, technical, and commercial audiences.
  • Experience working with external partners, consortiums, and joint bid structures.
  • High levels of commercial acumen, governance awareness, and risk management.
  • Ability to operate with authority and influence in a matrixed, multi-business environment.

Qualifications

National Senior Certificate/ Senior Certificate/ Grade 12 ITIL Certification (IT Service Management) Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Sales Relevant degree / certification / diploma including OEM related certs is a must.
