About the Role
We are a U.S.-based CPA firm looking for a reliable, long-term remote bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks experience to join our team. As a part-time bookkeeper, you will work closely with our clients’ financial information and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping. With potential to increase towards full-time, this role offers the opportunity to grow with our firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online files
- Recording and classifying bank, credit card, and general ledger transactions
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
- Posting journal entries and accountant adjustments as directed
- Preparing monthly or periodic profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Cleaning up and organizing QuickBooks files
- Preparing bookkeeping workpapers and Excel schedules
- Communicating clearly regarding missing information, questions, and file issues
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional handling of client financial information
Requirements
- Strong QuickBooks experience is required, preferably including both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience with bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
- Ability to prepare and review profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Good written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Accounting qualification, diploma, or bookkeeping certification (Preferred)
Salary & Benefits
Note: The salary range shown is the full-time monthly equivalent. Initial compensation will be paid pro rata based on the agreed schedule.
