Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and architectural patterns to meet project requirements. Lead system design initiatives, setting the technical direction for the development team.
- Full-Stack Development Expertise: Utilize expert-level proficiency in both C# (.NET framework/Core) and Node.js (with relevant frameworks like Express.js, NestJS, etc.) to develop robust and scalable backend and potentially frontend components.
- High-Performance Code & Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and high-performance code. Proactively identify and implement system design optimizations to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Best Practices & Code Quality: Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines. Conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality and consistency across the team.
- Issue Anticipation & Strategic Solutions: Anticipate potential technical challenges and proactively develop mitigation strategies and strategic solutions.
- Testing & CI/CD: Define comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end). Design and integrate CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth. Lead technical discussions, promote knowledge sharing, and facilitate effective cross-team collaboration.
- Project Execution & Influence: Drive project execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Influence product roadmap decisions based on technical feasibility and strategic alignment.
- Technical Liaison: Act as a key technical point of contact for leadership, product managers, and potentially customers, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Security & Compliance: Define and implement security best practices and strategies. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- DevOps & Infrastructure: Define and implement DevOps strategies. Automate deployment processes and contribute to the management and optimization of our infrastructure.
- Team Coaching & Culture: Coach the entire engineering team on technical matters, influencing and shaping a positive and high-performing technical culture.
- Innovation & Process Improvement: Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and methodologies. Continuously identify and implement improvements to our engineering processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in software development with a strong focus on backend technologies.
- Deep expertise in C# and the .NET framework/Core ecosystem.
- Significant experience with Node.js and associated frameworks.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance systems.
- Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and their integration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and architectural styles.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
- Experience leading technical discussions and driving consensus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
