About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Technician to join their team in Johannesburg. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, providing technical guidance and support to junior technicians, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- System Installation & Maintenance: Oversee complex installations, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC systems.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior technicians; ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Project Management: Plan, schedule, and coordinate HVAC projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Address and resolve complex HVAC issues using advanced tools.
- Customer Service: Assess client needs, offer recommendations, and explain technical details clearly.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure work meets all relevant safety and building codes.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of work, including reports and service logs.
- System Upgrades: Recommend and implement efficiency improvements.
- Emergency Response: Provide prompt service for urgent issues.
- Tool Management: Maintain and manage HVAC tools and equipment.
- Safety: Follow and enforce safety procedures and use protective equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and technologies
- HVAC trade test or Refrigeration trade test
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC system issues
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
