About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Software Technical Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our leadership, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-quality client-facing software and document management solutions. Your expertise will bridge the gap between technical execution and client engagement, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver client-facing software and document management solutions
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met
- Act as the technical bridge between clients, stakeholders, and development teams
- Drive quality through code oversight, best practices, and performance standards
- Manage workload allocation, team performance, and delivery reporting to senior stakeholders
- Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve technical challenges
- Support post-delivery processes including maintenance, SLAs, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5 years hands-on experience in software / platform development (Laserfiche or ECM preferred)
- 3 years in a technical leadership or management role
- Proven experience delivering client-facing solutions
- Strong technical understanding of enterprise content management / document management systems
- Experience with full-stack development and third-party integrations
