About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our busy Spanish-inspired Restaurant in Johannesburg South. As a key member of our management team, you will assist the General Manager in organizing and running the restaurant’s activities in accordance with company standards. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day functions of the food and beverage departments, ensuring excellent guest relations and driving sales and profit objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for FOH duties and ensuring excellent guest relations
- Helping the restaurant meet service, sales, and profit objectives
- Supervising and directing associates in daily work activities
- Ensuring proper training of employees
- Maintaining good customer and public relations
- Ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience each and every time they visit
- Proper compliance with cash control procedures, and performs related accounting and administrative reports as required
- Managing Daily Operations and POS functions
- Check Inventory, order FOH Supplies
- Inspect Open & Close restaurant in accordance with daily checklists
- Enforce Company Policies and Procedures
Requirements
- Grade 12
- At least 2 – 3 years experience in a guest facing FOH position
- Ability to multitask, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics;
- Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
