About the Role
We are seeking an experienced System Integrator to join our engineering team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing PLC and SCADA systems for new projects, as well as supporting the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team on existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop functional description specifications based on control philosophies and detailed designs to support effective system development.
- Design system architectures for software implementations.
- Configure industrial communication networks (Ethernet, fibre, ProfNet, etc.).
- Design, develop, test, and implement PLC programs in line with approved specifications.
- Design, develop, test, and implement SCADA and/or HMI applications.
- Develop simulation applications for testing and training purposes.
- Prepare Quality Control Plan (QCP) documentation for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Conduct FAT and SAT to ensure systems meet functional requirements.
- Implement complete solutions at client sites and ensure optimal performance.
- Provide training and technical support to internal teams and clients.
- Deliver post-project support and troubleshooting as required.
- Design and configure servers and data historians.
- Apply knowledge of IoT architecture in system design.
- Configure Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and instrumentation.
- Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Provide remote support to O&M teams and travel to sites for troubleshooting when necessary.

- Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (NDip, B.Tech, or B.Eng).
- Valid drivers license.
- Valid passport.
