About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate located in Franschhoek. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for excellence, strong leadership abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through the highest housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department and ensure smooth departmental functionality.

• Ensure all guest rooms, suites, public areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to impeccable luxury standards.

• Lead, train, motivate and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.

• Conduct regular room and facility inspections to ensure quality assurance and attention to detail.

• Manage housekeeping schedules, staff rosters, attendance and leave planning.

• Monitor housekeeping inventory, linen control, cleaning supplies and departmental stock levels.

• Ensure efficient stock ordering and cost control within departmental budgets.

• Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance and Food & Beverage departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.

• Implement and maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Senior Housekeeping Supervisor within a luxury hotel, lodge, guesthouse or wine estate environment. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team. Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining world-class standards. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Sound knowledge of housekeeping procedures, stock control, inventory management and staff supervision. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Professional, proactive and solution-driven approach to daily operations. Computer literacy and administrative competence.

Salary & Benefits
