About the Role
Dante Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Warehouse Controller to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient stock management and compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control warehouse inventory levels, implementing effective stock control systems
- Ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles and maintain accurate records
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the warehouse environment
- Implement and enforce inventory management policies and procedures
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational targets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve logistics and supply chain issues
- Perform daily cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate root causes
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse or logistics within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of stock control, FIFO, and food safety regulations
- Experience with inventory systems (Palladium advantageous)
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
