Job Description

The Foreman at Jetour Paarden Eiland, part of Multifranchise Cape Town, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to the high standards set by the dealership and manufacturer. The Foreman will lead a team of technicians and service advisors, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Qualifications and Experience Minimum Qualifications and Experience Needed: Qualified Technician Must have workshop Foreman experience Jetour experience advantageous Minimum of 5 years experience as a service technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Strong technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Foreman include, but are not limited to: Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified service technicians Assist technicians in developing their skills Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with all regulations affecting service operations, including hazardous waste disposal and OHSA regulations Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures Ensure all department employees receive appropriate manufacturer training Conduct regular performance reviews for technicians in accordance with dealership guidelines Ensure repairs are assigned fairly and efficiently Provide technical support to technicians when necessary Ensure repairs are charged out correctly Monitor the progress of repair orders throughout the day Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimise comebacks Conduct spot checks on completed jobs for quality and thoroughness Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed Ensure all documents are processed accurately and correctly Maintain customer follow-up programmes to confirm satisfaction with the service experience Handle customer complaints within 24 hours and escalate where necessary Manage department performance using daily operating controls, productivity reports, warranty reports, surveys, and monthly forecasts Monitor technician productivity and payroll records Ensure workshop cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance Ensure proper care and inventory of special tools Recommend new equipment and tools where necessary Assist as Service Advisor or Dispatcher when required Attend management meetings as requested Promote teamwork and harmony within the department and across the dealership Maintain a safe and professional work environment Perform additional tasks as assigned Why Join Us?
