About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at HotelJobs’ 4-star lodge in Komatipoort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative dishes that cater to diverse dietary and religious requirements. If you have a passion for food and wine trends, excellent leadership skills, and experience managing teams, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient service delivery
- Create and implement menus that meet our guests’ expectations
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Supervise and train junior staff members to achieve excellence
- Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute functions and events
Requirements
- 3-5 years of previous Head chef experience in a 4/5-star environment
- Essential Food Hygiene and/or professional cooking qualifications
- Good understanding of food and wine trends
- Knowledgeable of all dietary and religious requirements
- Good knowledge of creating, implementing, and maintaining written control documents and training manuals
Qualifications
- Matric certificate (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
R 22,000 – R(***)***-**** per month, plus daily transport provided for a LIVE OUT position. Must reside in or close to Komatipoort. Start Date: March 2026.
