About the Role
Phakisa Holdings is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage all on-site construction and maintenance activities for our projects in Middelburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance work, project management, and engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction and maintenance activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate daily site operations, including supervision of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and labor
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets required standards
- Identify and resolve on-site issues, delays, or risks proactively
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, incident reports, and material usage
- Enforce site discipline and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings with site teams
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost control
Requirements
- Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering certificate or higher
- Project Management certificate
- 10 Years Management Experience
- Background in mechanical maintenance work
