About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and retail environments to join our team in Krugersdorp. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting function, managing daily cash flow, and preparing accurate financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full accounting function: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements and variance analysis for the CFO
- Manage daily cash flow, forecasting and working capital across all business channels
- Prepare and submit all statutory returns: VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and income tax to SARS on time
- Coordinate the annual external audit and serve as the primary liaison with auditors
- Develop/Assist and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts by department and business unit
- Design and enforce internal financial controls, policies and approval frameworks
- Support the CFO with board reporting, investor presentations and financial modelling
- Maintain accurate product costing models reflecting raw materials, labour, overheads and wastage
- Monitor and investigate production cost variances and drive corrective action with the factory team
Requirements
- Qualifications: B.Com Accounting, Finance or related degree (essential)
- Experience: Minimum 57 years experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong BOM and production costing knowledge
- Experience working in or supporting a franchise or multi-site retail business (highly advantageous)
