Location: Isithebe, KwaZulu-Natal Reporting To: Operations & Production Executive Our client, a leading manufacturer in the industrial goods sector, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, efficiencies, and customer requirements are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will manage production planning, staff supervision, operational performance, health & safety compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Manage daily production activities to ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved. Monitor production efficiencies, productivity, quality, and waste reduction. Coordinate production schedules and material requirements with the Planning Department. Supervise production teams, including permanent and temporary staff. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and PPE requirements. Drive housekeeping, operational discipline, and LEAN manufacturing principles. Manage stock takes, production administration, and payroll submissions. Support HR with disciplinary matters, absenteeism, and employee-related issues. Ensure efficient utilisation of labour, materials, and production resources. Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives. Minimum Requirements Qualifications Matric / Grade 12 Diploma in Production Management or related qualification preferred Experience 5 – 10 years’ Production Management experience within a manufacturing environment (non-negotiable) Proven experience managing production teams and operational targets Experience in a fast-paced production environment essential Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and supervisory skills Good communication and problem-solving ability Strong planning and organisational skills Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Pastel Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Attention to detail and strong operational focus Own reliable transport Willingness to work overtime when required Understanding of isiZulu advantageous If you are a motivated leader passionate about operational excellence and team growth, apply now to contribute to our success in a confidential capacity.
