Job Description
We are looking for a highly analytical Data Auditor to join a forward-thinking Internal Audit environment where technology, automation, and data-driven insights are shaping the future of assurance. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, uncovering patterns and anomalies, and using analytics to strengthen controls, identify risks, and improve business processes.
This is more than a reporting role. We’re looking for someone who can bridge the gap between data, audit, and technology, helping Internal Audit move toward smarter, more continuous, and automated assurance practices.

Duties:
- Extracting, validating, and analysing large datasets from multiple systems
- Performing audit analytics and full-population testing to identify risks, exceptions, and control weaknesses
- Supporting Internal Audit teams through data-driven testing and insights
- Developing and enhancing automated audit testing processes
- Building dashboards and analytical reports to communicate findings clearly
- Reviewing data logic and assessing data quality and integrity
- Evaluating data pipelines, transformations, and system integrations
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through automation and innovation
- Collaborating with Internal Audit, IT, and business stakeholders
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Degree in: Data Analytics / Computer Science /Information Engineering / Informatics Or a related quantitative or technology-focused discipline
Experience:
- 4–6 years’ experience in Data Analytics, Audit Analytics, Internal Audit, or related fields
- Experience working with large datasets and data analysis techniques
- Exposure to internal audit environments or assurance functions advantageous
- Strong SQL skills (essential)
- Working knowledge of data engineering concepts
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines and transformation logic
- Knowledge of data modelling principles
- Experience identifying data integrity and control risks
- Exposure to Power BI advantageous
- Exposure to Python beneficial
- SharePoint Online exposure advantageous
- Strong understanding of data quality controls and governance principles
