About the Role

The SAMRC/Wits Rural Public Health and Health Transitions Research Unit (Agincourt) is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to participate in several vital roles as part of ongoing core and nested work. The appointed individual will assist in realising the vision of the Unit by participating in HAALSA – SAMRC Study.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct household visits for Echo sub-study participants
Recruit study participants for the portable MRI study
Consent study participants into the study
Perform echocardiograms on study participants
Adhere to SOPs
Perform eligibility checks for study participants
Maintain a good working relationship with study participants
Ability to maintain participants confidentiality both on and off duty
Scheduling of appointments
Present daily progress reports to Field Supervisor and Project Manager
Respond and resolve data queries as specified by the Project Manager
Communicate routinely with the Project Manager and Research Manager
Perform fieldwork activities as required

Requirements

Diploma in General Nursing
Registered with The South African Nursing Council (SANC)
Minimum 2 years relevant nursing experience
At least 1 year of experience in a research environment
