About the Role
Bush & Beyond Talent is seeking an experienced and creative Sous Chef to join our 5-Star Boutique Property in Nieu-Bethesda, Eastern Cape. We are looking for a passionate, hands-on culinary professional who thrives in a refined, intimate environment and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu execution
- Maintain exceptional food quality and service standards at all times
- Support menu planning, development, and seasonal menu changes
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations
- Manage kitchen stock control, ordering, and cost awareness
- Lead, train, and motivate junior kitchen staff
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a 5-Star luxury hotel, boutique property, or fine-dining environment
- Strong all-round culinary skills with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency
- Ability to work service and operational shifts in a hands-on capacity
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
