About the Role

Placement Point, a renowned restaurant based in Monte Casino, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations of our high-volume restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth service flow and consistent guest satisfaction while driving sales growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily front and back of house operations
  • Lead and supervise large teams across FOH and BOH, including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management, and disciplinary processes
  • Oversee sales reporting, GP analysis, labour cost control, cash flow management, and overall financial performance to maintain profitability
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, specials, stock levels, food costing, and kitchen coordination
  • Manage supplier relationships, procurement, stock control, inventory accuracy, and waste reduction initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, liquor licence, and hygiene regulations across all departments
  • Handle escalated customer complaints, resolve service issues, and maintain strong guest relations
  • Implement operational improvements, SOPs, and service standards to enhance efficiency and guest experience
  • Oversee facility maintenance, equipment servicing, and general upkeep of the restaurant
  • Coordinate events, group bookings, private functions, and promotional activities to drive revenue
  • Monitor staff performance, set daily targets, and ensure alignment with service expectations
  • Manage cash ups, banking, POS oversight, and financial controls to reduce shrinkage and errors
