Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Long-Term Insurance Financial Advisor to sell and advise on funeral insurance , life cover , and investment/savings insurance solutions in South Africa . In this role, you will meet clients, identify their needs, recommend suitable cover, assist with policy applications, and support clients through the processwhile working on a fully commission-based remuneration structure . Key Responsibilities Generate leads and market products through referrals, networking, canvassing, and other approved channels. Conduct client consultations to understand needs regarding funeral cover, life cover, and investment/savings goals. Advise and recommend appropriate products , explaining premiums, benefits, waiting periods (if applicable), exclusions, and claim procedures clearly. Complete and submit applications accurately, ensuring all client information and documentation are correct. Ensure compliance with all applicable South African requirements, including FAIS principles and internal compliance policies. Support clients during onboarding and follow up on outstanding applications. Provide ongoing client service by handling basic queries and assisting with servicing requests (where applicable). Meet sales targets set by management. Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities, client meetings, and submissions. Minimum Requirements Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent). Must be able to obtain and maintain the required FAIS appointment to render financial services for long-term insurance. Successful candidates must meet fit-and-proper requirements (as applicable). Clear criminal record / suitability for appointment processes (where applicable). Valid ID and eligibility to work in South Africa. Willingness to undergo compliance training/exams required by legislation and/or the company. Preferred Requirements (Not Mandatory) Experience selling funeral insurance and/or life cover . Experience selling investment or savings insurance solutions . Existing knowledge of long-term insurance product structures and underwriting basics. Any relevant qualification in finance, business, or insurance (or progress towards one). Required Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service and relationship-building ability. Ability to work independently and meet targets. High integrity and commitment to ethical selling. Basic computer/phone literacy for recordkeeping and submissions.
