About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Raw Materials Store Team Leader to join our client’s offsite raw materials store team based in Pinetown. As a key member of the supply chain team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall supervision of offsite raw materials store
- Secondary packaging and divider cleaning management
- Correct batching and FIFO management of all materials
- Cataloguing of regrind and issuing oldest stock first
- Goods returns process oversight for secondary packaging
- Control risk identification and mitigation measures implementation
- Supply secondary packaging to the main site on time
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual stock takes, including unplanned spot checks
- Receipt and administration of raw materials stock, including SAP transactions
- Divider cleaning operations management and sufficient divider availability maintenance
- Stock variance management relating to raw materials and packaging
- Incoming inspection checks for packaging to ensure specifications are met
- Correct handling of stock with spillage and breakage reporting
- Maintenance of offsite equipment, including divider cleaners, floor cleaners, and other operational equipment
- Shuttle truck loading timeliness maintenance
- Waste management operations oversight
- Day-to-day team management of divider cleaners, GRV processors, forklift drivers, packers, and cleaners
- Continuous training and development management
- Individual and team performance management with HR and IR policy compliance
Requirements
- Post-matric qualification in Supply Chain or a related field
- Proven track record within an FMCG supply chain environment
- Working knowledge of SAP (advantageous)
- Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
