About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a skilled and experienced Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Ladine, Polokwane. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various types of earthmoving equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on earthmoving equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems
- Repair and replace faulty parts as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have own tools
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in diesel mechanic or related field (if applicable)
