Port Elizabeth: GMR2 Services Engineer

About the Role

The GMR2 Services Engineer is responsible for maintaining a 15 MVA plant, ensuring uptime at a required standard, and controlling maintenance costs within budget. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the plant to ensure uptime at a required standard
• Control Maintenance costs according to the budget
• Maintain absenteeism above target
• Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance
• Enforce discipline and good housekeeping

Requirements

• National Diploma / B.Tech Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Possession of a government certificate of competency (GCC) in line with the power generated
• A minimum of 5 years in a similar position
• Above average computer skills
• Good communication and presentation skills on all levels
