About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This is an office-based role that requires a deep understanding of plant operations and the business as a whole. The successful candidate will provide full management accounting function for the manufacturing operation, supporting the commercial and financial aspects of the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Full management accounting function for the manufacturing operation
- Costing across all areas, including product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, cost control, and cost optimisation
- Provide commercial and financial support to the plant, with a solid understanding of maintenance, production planning, procurement, and human resources
- Partner with operational and departmental managers to support decision-making
- Analyse financial and operational data to drive efficiency and profitability
- Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis
- Develop a strong understanding of the plant processes, workflows, and products
Requirements
- BCom degree (Accounting / Finance or similar)
- Studying towards CIMA (advantageous)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
- Strong commercial acumen and business understanding
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Qualifications
- Completed BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
