Job Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Production Worker to join their team based in Sydenham, Port Elizabeth.

The role involves hands-on assembly, machine operation, quality control, and packaging to ensure efficient and high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios)
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to operate or learn machinery
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects

Responsibilities

Assembly and Production

  • Assemble products manually or using machinery
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment
  • Ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely

Quality Control

  • Inspect finished products for defects
  • Report quality issues to supervisors
  • Maintain high production standards

Packaging and Dispatch

  • Package, label, and organise finished goods
  • Prepare products for shipment

Production Efficiency

  • Meet daily production targets and deadlines
  • Follow instructions from the Plant Manager / Production Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Working Hours

    • Monday to Friday: 07h30 17h00
