About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a strong Assistant Management Couple to join a well-established, family-focused coastal property on the Wild Coast in Port St. Johns, Eastern Cape. This hands-on, service-driven couple will support the General Managers in the day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth operational management throughout the 12-month fixed-term contract period.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences
• Support and inspire department teams to maintain high service standards
• Assist in implementing and maintaining efficient operational procedures
• Champion a guest-centric culture across all areas of the property
• Manage guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally
• Ensure compliance with financial protocols, labour legislation, and administrative requirements
• Work closely with the General Managers to ensure smooth seasonal operations
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
• Build strong relationships with local suppliers, fishermen, and artisans
Requirements
Proven stable work history within the hospitality industry
A complementary couple with strong experience across F&B management, Front Office/Reservations, and Housekeeping
Minimum 5 years’ senior hotel or resort management experience
Strong operational and guest-focused mindset
Excellent team leadership and communication skills
Solid financial and labour legislation knowledge
Strong administrative and organisational ability
Qualifications
Hotel school qualification advantageous
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Negotiable DOE
