About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to ensure full EHS compliance, effective safety systems, and adherence to regulatory and company standards within a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage on-site EHS compliance and systems
- Implement EHS policies, procedures, and global standards
- Conduct audits and ensure audit readiness
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Drive safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement
- Monitor and report on EHS performance
- Support EHS training and risk awareness
Requirements
- NQF Level 6 in a technical field or Diploma in Health & Safety
- Minimum 5 years’ EHS experience in food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and SOPs
- Sound understanding of South African EHS legislation
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office
