About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Developer to join our team in Midrand, Gauteng. As a Technical Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strong relationships with key customers across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Potentialise and prioritise all sales opportunities with an agreed minimum value
  • Deal with large customer portfolios through B2B activity and key account management
  • Win new business and maximise existing revenue streams through high performance telesales and excellent key account management
  • Build long-term profitable relationships with customers by effectively using questioning and listening techniques to understand their application requirements
  • Proactively develop relationships with key accounts through regular customer contact
  • Prepare and follow up sales quotations to customers, prospects, and leads; liaising with Key Account Managers for conversion
  • Undertake proactive telephone sales initiatives to grow sales via telemarketing, cold calling, lapsed accounts with follow-up of new prospects and leads
  • Operate effectively within current policies and procedures relating to pricing, order entry, lead times, and telephone call monitoring programme
  • Develop effective working relationships with team members and internal departments
  • Maintain accurate customer records in CE as well as sales development activities
  • Participate in regular housekeeping as required
  • Attend training sessions and participate in both our development programme and online training portal to develop knowledge, sales techniques, and skills
