About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ICT Manager to lead our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our physical and virtual server infrastructure, as well as providing leadership in aligning our ICT strategy with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and optimize physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Racking, cabling, and configuring physical servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Managing power distribution units (PDUs) and ensuring proper, organized cabling.
• Installing, upgrading, and patching server operating systems (Windows Server).
• Optimize performance, manage server capacity, and configure virtualization solutions like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Applying security configurations, performing vulnerability scanning, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Creating and updating documentation regarding system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
• Tracking inventory, documenting server configurations, and managing vendor relationships for repairs and maintenance.
• Developing and maintaining backup and recovery solutions to prevent data loss.
• Providing leadership in the alignment of the ICT and business strategy.
• Ensuring that the company gains full value from its investment in IT services and its people.
• Providing a coherent link between ICT and the business, ensuring that business needs are met by the overarching SAST IT strategy.
• Lead, motivate, and inspire the ICT department to deliver an ICT strategy that delivers innovation and enables the wider business to become leaner through the effective use of existing and emerging ICT Information Systems.
• Ensure that appropriate skill levels are maintained through the provision of a successful training and development programme.
• Providing accountability for the successful provision of all ICT services, delivered either internally or externally, as required by the business.
• Acting as the final escalation point for service-related issues, ensuring that resolutions are proactively sought and delivered.
• Chairing SLA meetings, attending various meetings and forums with the mandate to ensure ongoing readiness of the ICT Strategy meets the needs of all business change programmes and initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server (2016-2022), Exchange server maintenance and support, VMware vSphere/ESXi or Hyper-V.
• Expert-level administration of SAN Support and Maintenance.
• Experience with enterprise hardware, specifically HP and related monitoring tools.
• In-depth knowledge of ICT Service delivery and SLA Management.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure Design and Implementation, O/S MS WINDOWS 10 PRO, Project Management, Policy development and Implementation, ICT Governance, Networking protocols, Patch management (SCCM/Intune), antivirus, and VPN technologies.

Qualifications

• National Certificate Matric Grade 12 BCOM in Commerce and IT Management Degree.
• Microsoft Certified: Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• Cyber Security Certificate Prince 2 Project Management ITIL Service Management Foundation MNE (Master Network Engineer) Diploma ANE (Associate NetworK Engineer) Diploma.
